**NOTE: There is a new rule this year (required by New York State) regarding cell phones. You may NOT have a cell phone with you in the testing room at all! Do NOT bring your phone into the room, or your test will be invalidated. Bottom line: Leave the phone at home!

  • Due Thursday:  Read and annotate "Learn'd Astronomer"
  • Due Friday: Read and annotate "Mending Wall"
  • Due Friday: Choose any TWO poems in your poetry packet. For each poem, choose ONE poetic device that contributes to the work as a whole. In a well-developed paragraph, identify the poetic device and explain how it contributes to the meaning of the work as a whole. Use quotes from each poem and cite specific line numbers as evidence. (Write these as two separate paragraphs--one for each poem-- but you may do so on the same sheet of paper. You do NOT have to pick the same poetic device for each poem).

  • Review tone words and names of rhetorical devices 
  • Do practice multiple choice questions (see me for a practice test if you'd like)
  • Review your writing folder with old exams and essays; learn from your mistakes and be proud of your growth!
Thursday:
  • Breathe. Don't cram. And go to bed early. :)
Friday:
  • AP EXAM TODAY! Be at the gym no later than 7:15 a.m.
(and then go see Gatsby this weekend.)
